We are not all blessed with my John Travolta good looks and dancing skills. Well, neither am I actually. But you don’t need to be, to play Just Dance.
But, you need to be prepared to have fun.
I’ll be honest, I was really looking forward to this review. This genre of games is great fun. And, in the whole, Just Dance is just that. OK, so there isn’t a career mode. But we are not playing Call of Duty 3, this is a dance game. So, does it matter? I think it depends what you were wanting from the game in the first place. I was wanting and expecting fun, and that is what I got.
I enjoyed it, my wife enjoyed it and my kids (who are all below 5) enjoyed it.
So what do you do? Well, you pick a song, get hold of your Wii remote and jig along to the virtual dancer on screen. Points, which are earned through dancing, seem to have little or no relevance to progressing through the game. You’ve got a bad score? Never mind, carry on anyway. This is not a bad thing. This makes the game a great family game. No having to spend hours mastering the art of the Tango. My family are sceptilcal about all games (because I spend so much time on them). But, for once, they all agree that this was a game that as a family we could enjoy together.
It’s a short review, but, if you want a fun family game (that I have had a few quiet hours enjoying on my own too), then you wont go far wrong with Just Dance Wii.
